Ingredients
Scale
- 2 tbsp coconut oil, melted (I like this brand)
- 2 tbsp maple syrup, honey, or coconut sugar (like this)
- 1/2 – 3/4 tsp unrefined salt (I use THIS brand)
- 3 and 1/2 cups large coconut flakes (THIS bag is exactly 3 and 1/2 cups)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325’F. Line a large baking sheet with unbleached parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine melted coconut oil and sweetener of choice. Pour in coconut flakes and gently mix until completely coated. Sprinkle on salt and gently mix again.
- Bake on prepared baking sheet for 5 minutes. Flip with a spatula and bake for another 5 – 7 minutes, flipping every 2-3 minutes. The coconut flakes will begin to be golden brown. Watch carefully as they burn quickly.
- Cool completely to allow coconut chips to crisp up. Store in an air-tight glass jar.
