Meet my favorite time-saving kitchen hack: the slow cooker. And 40+ healthy slow cooker recipes to keep you busy all winter long.

Ok, you guys!  Many of you know that I am away for 6 weeks getting intensive treatment for a chronic health issue. I’m taking time out of life to slow down and do some real healing. And this means taking a little break from creating recipes and taking photos. So I’m coming at you with one of my favorite ways to save time and energy in the kitchen. Because we can all use a little help getting dinner on the table every night.  Am I right?

Nothing beats coming home to the smell of a home cooked meal.  That’s why my slow cooker is my best friend this time of year. With just a few minutes of prep time in the morning, you can have a warm and cozy meal waiting for you at dinner time. THIS is the slow cooker I have used for years. You can also get a programmable one like THIS with a few more bells and whistles. My slow cooker stays busy most of the winter with making bone broth as well as making lots of family favorite dinners.

I’ve included a variety of things you can easily make in your slow cooker. Lots of beef, chicken and pork recipes. I even added a few sweet treats for you.  I hope you enjoy.

🥬 basically just cabbage, beef, onions, and rice • all baked together in a good quality broth until crispy and golden on top • YUM
